20 years of Mini' Truckin' 1989-2009... One of the longest running car and truck clubs in Orlando as well as Florida, Hardcore has been around since 1989. That's when Billy Weekley started Hardcore. Hardcore was a club for the "Hardcore" custom truck enthusiast. Since its birth in or around 1989, Hardcore has grown to be one of the most outstanding and well-known clubs in the central Florida area. Hardcore has been through a lot since its beginning, and it has still managed to stay in existence. In 1995 a member and forever friend of Hardcore was murdered for his full-size Chevy pickup truck. His name is Larry "Neal" Oliver. Although tragic and difficult to endure, the event only brought the club closer. Membership grew to an all time high shortly after as custom enthusiasts realized how the hobby brought new friends together and how they should look out for each other. Since the loss of our friend, Hardcore has been dedicated to keeping his memory alive. Once a year in December, Hardcore hosts a car show in his honor and collects toys for charity. Hardcore is always looking for sponsors as it does take quite a bit of funding to host the show. If you are interested in being a sponsor, please send e-mail to

Hardcore had grown into two chapters at one point in time, acquiring an entire club that wanted to convert to Hardcore membership. This club was known as H2, (Hardcore 2). With constantly changing trends and style differences, new clubs were born from Hardcore as members left the club. Hardcore has also had several different logo designs of the years. One was a gargoyle airbrushed onto the back window of a members ride. Another interesting Hardcore tradition is designing shirts for Hardcore members to wear at SlamFest. Every year we have a different shirt idea, and Mini Madness always wonders what we'll think of next. Shortly after the Mini Truck craze, custom cars started to join the scene, and Hardcore has had its share of sweet cars as well as trucks. Hardcore has had a few member rides featured in various truck magazines, and our members are always looking to be in that next feature. Today Hardcore is once again growing larger, and the trends are constantly changing. Hardcore members continue to keep up with these trends. Who knows what the future holds for Hardcore. Thanks for stopping by and keep cruising into the future... Do you have what it takes to be HARDCORE??? Check the events calendar for the next meeting, and come see what we are all about!!! We're not just a custom car and truck club, we are a family!!! HC4LIFE!!!!
